ABOUT US
Kody Nestor is one of the most recognisable names in regional New South Wales, after an esteemed career in the saddle. He is fast approaching 700 winners, with most remembering the remarkable win of SNEAK PREVIEW in the 2024 Dubbo Cup. As a trainer Kody Nestor Racing was previously in operation between 2018-21, notching up 107 winners at a strike rate of 16%. The stable was firing in 2020-21 winning the WRA Country Championships with ACTIVATION, and they were a regular on the metropolitan scene. They trained 45 winners in 2020-21 in an era dominated by big stables targeting country racing.
Kody decided that he still had some unfinished business as a jockey, and returned to race riding in 2023. He currently carries a duel rider-trainer license returning to Dubbo, NSW where he previously enjoyed a lot of success.

Kody would be the first to agree that he extremely focused to once again be a prominent trainer in the west. The goal is to attract the right horses to the stable so he can reward the investment of his owners. The prizemoney in New South Wales is the best in the country, and we will look to feature heavily in the $2M Kosciuszko, $1M Country Championships, $150k Country Championships Qualifier and the $120k Tab Highway series.

The Dubbo Turf Club has seen significant infrastructure upgrades in recent years and we get the opportunity to race on the home surface on a regular basis. The Dubbo Cup Raceday is the feature event for the year closely followed by The Silver Goblet, The Queen Of The West and Golden Eagle-Derby Day.

TRAINING SERVICES
Kody has always applied a high attention to detail with his approach to training thoroughbreds. He is a hands on trainer that is needs to feel the horses he prepares, and currently rides all of his own work. This boutique stable has 10 well ventilated boxes and Kody is a big believer that the horses need to get out and about during the day. We have access to a brand new swimming pool, synthetic track, course proper grass track and a back track with barriers for those who need a change of environment.

Kody is very experienced with younger horses, and with the demand for 2YO's we can service the needs of owners craving precocity. Our stable is versatile, can train horses of all levels, and has the ability to place to win races. The western region is getting stronger every season but geographically we have the advantage to those who have to travel long distances.
